About the Role:

The Lead Market Planner provides regional leadership to drive strategic business development and execute new business initiatives that align with the region and add value to the International Business Unit. Identifying and pursuing areas for growth and executing on the 3 Year Plan for the region to ensure business strategy expansion in the local market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide deep sector specific market knowledge and expands their business development practices for specific solutions and market needs, achieving local revenue goals and strategic growth.
- Lead strategic and business development engagements with executives of select priority clients to identify critical business issues and strategic priorities, and position as partner of choice to achieve desired goals.
- Develop and use thorough understanding of the markets within the region to provide subject matter expertise, guidance and recommendations that will drive the success and growth of the solutions and programs in that market.
- Support strategic sales initiatives (including pricing strategy), working collaboratively with internal partners and leaders and cross functional teams such as Strategy and Planning, Sales, and Product to establish project priorities, capacity planning and recommend process, product and or service improvements
- Responsible for driving revenue across product lifecycle
- Analyse and provide deep level of insight of market sector and competitive landscape, trends, and forces to inform and develop value added collateral for clients and teams
- Understand clients strategy, goals, priorities and challenges of selected clients, develop and pursue strategic and business development engagements with key executives
- Build partnership relationship with selected clients, providing subject matter expertise and commercial insights, pursuing consultative approach to identify areas of opportunity, and positioning them as a trusted partner to help clients achieve their goals
- Develop frameworks and engagement documents for each engagement plan; frame up required analytics/ solutions, and work closely with other teams
- Lead business pipeline development, coordinating internal resources for identified opportunities to maximize business conversion ratio

Skills & Experience:

- Solid experience within Retail Credit industry sector required
- Ability to effectively develop relationships, engage, advise, and persuasively communicate with select clients and functional area heads in face-to-face scenarios demonstrating real-time insight, flexibility and sound judgment
- Strong analytical and insight-driven problem-solving skills with the ability to pursue consultative client engagements to drive business growth. Independence, initiative, business acumen, and excellent verbal, story-telling written communication, and negotiation skills
- Business maturity, and strong leadership and listening skills with the ability to analyse input from customers, partners, associates, market and environmental trends, to identify and clearly articulate needs and opportunities for growth
- Programme management, with the ability to lead development of business pipeline and effectively coordinate internal resources and teams to maximise business conversion
- Experience working in a matrixed environment preferred, collaborating across teams and functions
