This new role for this year is a genuine chance for an experienced Market Research Manager to make your mark on our future success. The fact that we see this role as being of Director Designate potential should in itself say how we view the opportunity.

Within this varied post, you'll be managing all aspects of B2B research in our specific niche sectors. As you'd expect, that would include:

- Preparing industry and market reports from a range of data sources, analysing that data and preparing charts and reports, including columns for trade press publication, and monthly high-profile industry reports.
- Taking customer briefs and interpreting their needs to identify their problems and the research solutions to them, working closely with Marketing and PR colleagues.
- Managing (and expanding when necessary) our team of researchers, plus the in-house and external fieldworkers.
- Identifying opportunities to sell ad-hoc research services, and helping to develop new research products and new revenue streams.

In turn, you will have:

- A solid track record of success in a Research role. We are open as to whether that is client-side or an agency.
- Strong analytical skills - the ability to interpret data and identify problems and opportunities, together with experience of B2B quantitative research including structured large sample benchmarking and customer satisfaction surveys, plus brand mapping based on sound methodology to produce statistically robust findings.
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment, driven by our customers deadlines, and able to remain organised and calm in that environment.
- Finally, the recognition that work, in a collaborative but pressured and deadline driven team environment, needs to be fun too.
