Research Manager - Tech Company | Online Community Research for FMCGs
£35,000 - £40,000 + Company Benefits & Perks
We’re on a mission to solve the worlds biggest social and commercial challenges through the power of audience collaboration.
About the Company
Our leading-edge technology and world-class team have already helped some of the most iconic brands in the world by creating unique online communities who collaborate and provide real-time insights and ideas.
These customer led insights fuel new ideas for products, marketing campaigns, content creation and much, much more.
As we rapidly accelerate our growth, we are building our team of exceptional research managers to lead on the multitude of global customer insight projects and help our clients get maximum value from the online communities we have built for them.
The Research Manager Role:
As a Research Manager, you’ll be responsible for full project cycle management. You’ll be the primary contact for clients, from both an account and project perspective. You’ll encourage clients to think differently when creating the project plan, be passionate about tech and communities and will live and breathe collaboration, both with the client and in our business.
Day to day you will liase with key clients, oversee project set up, work on getting the best from our community by writing engaging questions, recruiting the correct sample, and checking in on response rates on a daily basis. You will create actionable, strategic debriefs that are at their core, insightful. You’ll be comfortable teasing out the story from quant and qual.
You will work well under pressure, enjoy a challenge and have a track record of managing several projects at a time.
What you’ll be doing:
+ Account management; delivering high quality work, every time. You will scope out opportunities across other areas of our clients’ business, through relationship building. You will be a partner, not a cog in the machine.
+ Running projects which are delivered within budget, managing gross margin & profitability
+ Manage the writing and setting up of relatively complex discussion guides
+ Creating presentations and reports focused on insights weaving stories from data, providing recommendations to clients, not just facts.
+ Effectively managing resources and workloads;, keeping track of all activity and being the master of your own time.
+ Identify opportunities for, and contribute to, the development of a community where the world shares ideas. You will be curious about current affairs, write hot topic questions for the community, and, off the back of the results, write blogs & articles.
We are collaborative in nature and believe in the power of people’s ideas. This means we look to get the best out of our community but also each other. We are thinkers, and have ambitious plans to grow rapidly in the next 6 months. You’ll be someone who will share our passion for tech and insight, and be excited by our vision, and want to help us achieve it.
You need to be a critical thinker and a great communicator, in person, in visuals and in writing.
Our clients rely on us to guide them and it will be your role to demonstrate thought leadership in helping clients address their challenges.
We are looking for someone who has experience in the FMCG and Retail industries. You’ll be passionate about innovation in the industry, as we are seeking to change the way clients do research!
You’ll have the ability to act as key client contact on a variety of projects. You’ll need to be proactive and handle several requests a day. You will be from a client-facing role with solid project management skills, able to plan & multi-task.
You’ll be someone who is collaborative who can think creatively and take people with you in your thinking. We have a supportive culture, encouraging sharing of ideas and debates, so we are looking for someone who is confident and constantly thinking about how to innovate.
