We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Market Risk Analyst within the Risk Division. This is a dynamic and leading edge function supporting and adding value to the Wholesale business (Santander Global Banking and Markets). The businesses trade an extensive portfolio of Equity, Interest Rate, Credit, Property and Hybrid Derivatives.

As a Market Risk Analyst you will be supporting the team whose primary role is the daily production and analysis of Market Risk and Economic P&L generated by Front Office. The individual will focus on assisting in the delivery of the FRTB regulatory change project.

As a Market Risk Analyst your main responsibilities will be

* Understanding the FRTB regulation and how this impacts the Market Risk function

* Carry out analysis and testing of changes to be implemented

* Assist the Project management in delivering the project milestones

* Assist with the Production and analysis of Risk, P&L and regulatory reporting

* Working closely with the front office and various support teams on a daily basis

Minimum skills and experience required

* Basic knowledge and understanding of the FRTB regulatory requirements

* A degree and/or masters in a numerical subject (e.g. Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or Computer Science) or equivalent experience

* Excellent understanding of Risk Management principles with primary focus on Market Risk

* A good understanding of P&L Analysis, Risks, VaR, and Greeks

* A good understanding of Derivatives products and markets, ideally Fixed Income and FX

* Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and the ability to write SQL queries and VBA programming will be advantageous, knowledge of Murex is desirable
