PA / Marketing Assistant – Competitive Salary + Benefits – Hackney Wick, London

The Role

We are looking for a creative, talented, innovative and enthusiastic candidate who is ambitious about flourishing alongside a growing start-up. This role is a 50/50 split between Marketing and general administrative tasks. The applicant should be keen to start their career in Marketing and have previous internship or work experience in a similar role.

The ideal candidate should also have prior experience working within an administrative role. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, a willingness to get stuck-in and have initiative, whilst also being respectful of the brand identity of the business. A strong passion for design or architecture is highly valued. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career with a rapidly growing company.

Some of the key responsibilities of a PA / Marketing Assistant include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating a PR strategy for the company to increase the value of our brand
  • Assisting with content reaction for all online and offline marketing channels
  • Managing all social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn)
  • Graphic design and editing (creating artworks using Adobe Creative Cloud); and photography and videography (creating content in line in with the brand)
  • Nurturing relationships with artists and publicists/publications
  • Acting as a first point of contact, dealing with correspondence and phone calls; and ensuring scheduling and emailing is dealt with efficiently
  • Managing databases and filing systems; handling planning and coordinating group/team meetings/outings; and organising events and dealing with the logistics of events and projects
  • Managing diaries and organising meetings and appointments; liaising with staff, suppliers and clients; and reminding the Director of important tasks and deadlines

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a PA / Marketing Assistant:

  • 6 months to 1 year of digital marketing experience (internship or work experience), having prior administrative experience (managing calendars and events)
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English; combined with sound grammar, formatting and writing experience
  • A clear understanding of social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter)
  • Experience using a CMS system (ideally WordPress); and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Proficient across all Microsoft programs
  • Self-disciplined, having high levels of organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage a number of priorities in a busy, fast-paced environment
