MARKETING ASSISTANT

Irlam, Manchester

Key objectives

  • To provide a full support role to the Marketing Director
  • To provide ad hoc support to Sales Account Managers
  • You will develop systems and routines that will save time and ensure that the marketing (and sales) team can work to maximum efficiency with all relevant support material being produced on time
  • You will manage Social Media/Digital Marketing content and campaigns and show a good basic understanding of SEO and PPC
  • You will answer calls from the public and provide customer service cover on an ad-hoc basis (holiday and sick cover)  

 

Key areas of responsibilities

  • To assist in the day to day management of the product range;
  • Creating/writing compelling Content for all Social Media platforms and Digital Marketing campaigns
  • Assisting in the strategic development, management, implementation and reporting of online & digital marketing plans (websites, social media, apps)
  • Liaising with agencies and head office on copy and artwork requirements to promote and advertise new products and any other business related issues.
  • Reporting of EPOS and sales out data on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as required.
  • To assist in the analysis and reporting of market data (IRI)
  • Support and preparation of PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets for retailers, brand partners, new business development opportunities and internal meetings
  • Competitor analysis for new product development or new distribution opportunities - desk research, store audits, price comparisons and market reports
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of the marketing plan
  • Writing copy and assisting in preparing design briefs to create new packaging and marketing materials
  • Attend relevant meetings, conferences and training courses, when required, producing contact reports
  • Preparing and writing regular progress reports (monthly)

 

Candidate requirements: -

  • A Marketing/Business Graduate, with 6-12 months related work/placement experience in a Commercial Marketing environment
  • Experienced across all Social Media & Digital platforms, including Apps
  • Seeking a Marketing career, keen to learn from the ground up
  • Versatile, adaptable with a strong work ethic
  • Outgoing with a sense of humour
  • Willing, flexible, self-motivated
  • Good team player but with the ability to work independently
  • Enthusiastic approach, challenging, inquisitive
