Marketing Assistant - Sports

£25k - £30k

Central London

I'm very excited to be partnering with a well-recognised name in the football industry operating both locally and internationally.

The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in supporting the Marketing Manager and Digital and Social Media Manager during an exciting stage in the brand's development following significant investment, resulting in the opening of a number of new pitches and refurbishment of existing sites.

This role could suit a candidate looking to build their career in sports marketing, with some existing experience/a qualification in a marketing related field. The successful person will ideally have a mix of both digital and traditional marketing knowledge, to support the managers on executional projects.

About the role:

  • Supporting the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager in the execution/implementation of marketing activities, e.g. new venue launches.
  • Assisting in the product marketing collateral and literature.
  • Coordinating the production of a wide range of marketing materials.
  • Writing articles and promotional material for the company and copy for the website.
  • Uploading marketing material to online libraries, online communities and social media channels.
  • Maintaining the marketing team's database, including a transition over to a new platform.
  • Managing events, booking venues and ordering marketing materials.

Required skills and experience:

  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in a marketing related discipline.
  • Experience working within a marketing department.
  • Strong interest in online marketing platforms and campaigns, with familiarity with marketing principles.
  • Personable and articulate - with the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong copy-writing skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Indesign and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Able to work to deadlines and agreed performance measures.
  • Good judgement and decision making skills.
  • Detail orientated with proven analytical skills.
