THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

Our Marketing Automation Specialist should be someone who’s passionate about marketing automation platforms, creating a seamless customer journey and is at home interrogating data / coding. They will be responsible for executing marketing strategies, assisting with campaign development, analysing the effectiveness of campaigns and developing demand generation programs. This role will be critical to the business, allowing us to provide a seamless, relevant and engaging journey to our customers.

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE

A technical lead for the email platform – Responsys. This includes an understanding of programme design, dynamic content rules, filter builds, bespoke targeting and management of triggered lifecycle programmes. You will be a font of Responsys knowledge with a keen eye and aptitude for trouble-shooting / being solutions led

*

Comfortable working across a number of systems and platforms (Siebel, Responsys, GA and SAP). This will need strong SAS and SQL capability

*

Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation updates and other aspects of email execution, as required

*

Stay abreast of and recommend email marketing best practices with coding, design and testing of email campaigns

*

Think customer first and design / implement journeys in response to this

*

A passion for technology and marketing platforms

*

Basic understanding of digital media, current trends and the technologies that underpin it.

*

Set up and ownership of content libraries to enable dynamic content

*

Expert email html, template building, dynamic modules etc.

*

Curating code that is optimised to engage customers across email, web, mobile and push

*

QA testing across all campaign elements

*

Production of eDMs, automations/triggers, landing pages, micro-sites and web-applications

*

Ownership of best practice - copy, layout, links, dynamic content and addressing any spam risks

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

* Substantial Email Marketing experience including previous use of Responsys ESP (or similar)
* Strong understanding of email marketing principles, triggered campaigns email testing and optimising performance
* Understanding of targeting and segmentation
* Experience with multi-channel customer journeys
* Experience delivering communications to drive incremental spend, loyalty and engagement
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong analytical mindset and an ability to analyse campaigns
* Excellent understanding of database concepts and segmentation
* Experience with Responsys
* Hands-on experience in HTML template building and segmentation
* Email marketing and campaign experience is essential
* Understanding of dynamic personalisation and the value of tailoring content
* Email build across all devices
* Expert in HTML / CSS with SQL knowledge
* Email deployment and campaign automation
* Big picture thinking UX / IA
* Experience working in beauty or Retail desirable.

LOCATION

Our global HQ is located in the heart of East Croydon – 1 minute walk from the train station and is just 10 minutes train ride from Clapham Junction and 16 minutes from London Victoria. Our brand new office opened just over one year ago and provides a light, modern and open-plan work space that includes an onsite global café and even a living wall in the reception area.
