A global law firm requires a Marketing & BD Manager (Capital Markets & Competition) to take responsibility for raising the eminence and understanding of the sector to existing clients, new targets and the wider market.

The Marketing & BD Manager (Capital Markets & Competition) will serve as a single point of contact for all marketing-related opportunities and enquiries regarding the practice and will be responsible for developing dynamic practice and sector plans. You will be tasked with preparing partners for effective relationship and BD meeting s with key clients, providing tailored sector and client briefing notes and offering valuable insight into strategic next steps with each client. You will also champion BD with junior fee earners in order to develop a pipeline of business and package and promote the firm's expertise and profile to relevant partners and teams to enable cross selling internally to increase revenue. The role holder will identify products within the practice to take to market via existing and target clients, lead BD activities of sub-groups within the practice and oversee the pitch process including following up on outcomes. From a marketing perspective it will be your responsibility to ensure key messages and positioning are well understood in the market and that client material is delivered in an imaginative and efficient way. You will also identify thought leadership campaigns and ensure they are leveraged globally and work with the events team on the delivery of a range of events which enhance the firm's reputation and standing.

You must have a strong academic record, be robust, self-motivated and possess the ability to build trust and respect among colleagues. A team player with a can-do attitude and outstanding communication and influencing skills, it is essential that you have extensive relevant experience in business development or account management gained whilst working in a professional services environment.
