Marketing Data Analyst

Location: Glasgow

Hours: 37 ½ per week

Salary £30,000 to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced Data Analyst looking to make a real impact? Their marketing team is passionate about data and is looking for a like-minded professional to focus on digital media performance analysis.

In this role you will lead on their reporting automation initiatives and measurement methodology. You will tackle complex business problems by converting raw data into meaningful and actionable business insights. Your analysis will fundamentally drive investment decisions and directly influence the competitiveness of the program.

Who you are:

You'll fit this role if you have:

- Experience in quantitative analytics in a professional capacity
- Advanced working knowledge of SQL and Excel
- Experience working with common visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview)
- An ability to partner with internal collaborators and work through challenging business problems
- Experience manipulating complex data sets, implementing visualisations and dashboards
- A result orientated approach underpinned by excellent communication skills and a natural predisposition to use your initiative
- Experience working within a Marketing environment is a plus
- Experience of data reporting from previous employment is essential

What you'll do:

- Build/Manage the reporting process, visualise the data, design and automate dashboards
- Work with Data Engineering and Analytics to ensure the accuracy and validity of data
- Work with Marketing teams to identify ways to optimise campaign performance
- Continuously improve their performance measurement methodology
- Help their team achieve ambitious test targets by reviewing proposals, overall test feasibility, business value, and setting appropriate KPIs
- Interrogate large data sets to identify performance trends as part of in depth post-campaign analysis
- Automate reporting process for several factions of the marketing team (affiliates, PPC & SEO)
- Provide data sets and stats for us in PR
