Becoming an Events Manager with Capita People Solutions:

Capita People Solutions is looking for a talented and driven events manager to join the Pensions & Benefits Marketing team. Alongside a Marketing Manager, the role will have responsibility for delivering all events within a broader programme of marketing activity and campaigns to our target market of pensions professionals, third-party evaluators and trustees. This will include the strategy, planning and execution of industry conferences, exhibitions and networking events, and proprietary forums, seminars and webinars.

What you will do:

*

Suggest and deliver a programme of face-to-face events for clients and prospects, manage an event calendar and identify future opportunities.

*

Manage our attendance at and sponsorship of industry events, and the planning and execution of all proprietary events and webinars. This will include defining and executing: event goals, content, messaging and speaker plans, email campaigns and promotion strategy, event website and registration, collateral, budgets, logistics and on the day management, follow up campaigns and working with external agencies to produce high quality exhibition stands.

*

Deliver digital campaigns across social, email and web, and execute and launch all communications related to events, including use of automated campaigns

*

Develop strong cross-functional working relationships with practice area leadership teams, sales teams and colleagues within the marketing team, to ensure involvement and input on event strategy from all key stakeholders.

*

Work with internal subject matter experts to source newsworthy and relevant content and messaging for events, along with supporting whitepapers, articles, nurture emails and blogs.

*

Work closely with the broader marketing team to maintain consistency across all event branding, messaging and programs, in line with all wider campaigns.

*

Track and report to the business on event ROI and KPIs.

*

Work closely with sales to optimise the conversion of leads from all events from MQL to SQL status.

*

Develop an understanding of the pensions and benefits audience, their challenges and preferences on events, engaging with providers and networking with peers.

*

Where required, manage the creation of marketing collateral including brochures, thought leadership content, case studies and sales support materials.

*

Develop award submissions on behalf of practice areas.

Your experience will include:

*

University degree or equivalent.

*

Postgraduate marketing qualification.

*

At least five years’ B2B marketing experience, preferably in a pensions, insurance, professional services or HR-related business.

*

Experience delivering a high quality programme of events

*

Experience building and deploying campaigns via Salesforce and Pardot

*

Experience of delivering impact and achieving resullts

*

Excellent time management and organisational skills

*

Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively

*

Excellent copywriting and communication skills

* Strong knowledge of digital marketing techniques

*

Ability to work autonomously from a brief

*

Brilliant attention to detail and project management skills
