Becoming a Marketing Executive with Capita ESS

Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your creative flare with your strong marketing acumen? We have a new opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to join the Capita Education Software Solutions (ESS) marketing team.

As a leading supplier of software and services to the education and libraries sectors, Capita ESS is renowned for its success in helping institutions across the UK deliver high quality, cost efficient services leading to an enhanced student and end user experience. This exciting role offers the right candidate the opportunity to create and deliver innovative product marketing campaigns that will have a significant impact on the business.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager – SIMS Modules, you will help to develop and deliver marketing campaigns for SIMS products and services, to achieve lead generation targets and demonstrate clear ROI. You will also be responsible for administrative tasks that support the wider SIMS marketing team.

What you will do:

With the guidance of the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of marketing campaigns. You will be familiar with the full marketing mix in order to identify the best channels to generate inbound leads and support the sales of SIMS products and services.

You will work closely with the wider SIMS marketing team to manage systems that support the delivery and reporting of wider marketing campaigns. You will also implement best practice and a streamline approaches to administrative tasks needed to support the marketing team.

You will be confident in working with various internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver successful marketing campaigns.

Planning and control

*

Working closely with the Marketing Manager, develop marketing plans which support lead generation, ensuring they remain in line with sector and corporate objectives.

*

Identify key marketing channels and content pieces that can support lead generation campaigns such as webinars, blogs, whitepapers, paid and organic online advertising, print, events and social media.

*

Ensure ROI can be measured in order to report to the Senior Marketing Manager on the success and progress of tactical plans in generating leads and achieving clear ROI.

*

Assist the wider SIMS marketing team in reporting on marketing activities by preparing marketing lists, setting up reporting dashboards and running reports in CRM.

*

Collate, manage and suggest association and advertising opportunities to support campaign activity across the team.

Delivery

*

Working closely with the Marketing Manager, deliver campaigns across diverse channels, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and provide maximum ROI.

*

Support the wider team by managing the day-to-day running of marketing systems including maintaining team inboxes, uploading leads into the CRM to ensure SLAs are adhered to, updating the website and keeping the marketing MS Teams group up to date.

*

Support all marketing campaigns by setting up, managing and helping to deliver customer webinars, online customer portal updates and email shots.

*

Brief and manage projects with a range of internal teams or, when necessary, external agencies to produce high quality, compelling materials.

*

Work closely with the events and sales teams to deliver stands at events, alongside managing the SIMS printing budget and printing and delivering literature to events around the country.

Be proactive in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal colleagues and external contacts.

Support marketing team colleagues as and when necessary in order to deliver collective commitments.

Your experience will include:

*

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a marketing function in a B2B environment.

*

Expertise across the full marketing mix including digital, social, PR, direct etc.

*

Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills.

*

Ability to work well in multi-disciplined / cross-functional teams.

*

Self-disciplined with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects.

*

Proven marketing background, with the ability to decipher complex information and turn it into compelling benefits for customers.

*

Experience in delivering effective digital campaigns at a B2B level.

*

Experience in managing multi-channel campaigns and a thorough understanding of marketing channels and how they can be used to build effective campaigns.

*

Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

*

Experience of working in an education based environment and/or experience in a marketing role in a software company would be an advantage
