We are Skyline Events – an international events company raising almost £10M per year for our charity clients from a range of active and adventurous fundraising events that we organise across the globe. We are currently seeking a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for the origination and execution of our entire marketing strategy, including the launch of new products and websites and the refreshing of existing ones.

We are looking for somebody who has excellent knowledge of all marketing channels, a creative eye and a proven ability to deliver large and varied campaigns to schedule and within budget, from concept and planning through to post-campaign analysis.

You will also be a natural leader, setting the overall strategy and then sharing your skills across the team whilst supporting and developing others. Your excellent communication skills will see you build effective working relationships both internally and externally enabling you to maximise return on all the campaigns that you develop.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Development and execution of our entire marketing strategy
  • Oversee the forthcoming re-launch of our main corporate website
  • Re-development and re-launch of legacy websites
  • Develop our rapidly growing social media presence
  • Clarify target audiences, what they are looking for and how to reach them
  • Create marketing collateral (brochures, logos, and adverts etc.) for both digital and print media
  • Write succinct and powerful marketing copy to be used across a number of marketing channels to attract target audiences
  • Ensure maximum Return on Investment from marketing budgets
  • Meet or exceeding agreed marketing campaign targets
  • Report on marketing activities and their performance against agreed targets and budgets
  • Assist the Directors in developing key corporate sponsorships for our events
  • Assist with the acquisition of celebrity involvement in our events

We are looking for somebody with the following skills and experience:

  • Significant experience in event marketing or similar is preferred
  • Strong track record in developing and delivering effective marketing strategies and plans
  • Brand and market awareness
  • Excellent knowledge of all marketing channels, particularly digital
  • Ability to work in partnership with management and other teams, but with the presence to lead change and introduce innovation
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to manage own workload in a very busy organization
  • Strong commercial acumen and interest in this sector
  • Lots of energy - willing to get stuck in on a variety of tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
