Our client is a new and rapidly growing insurance intermediary group and has completed 18 acquisitions since April 2016, which has seen their employee base grown from 50 to 1100+ people in 18 months with over 40 offices. As a consequence, the environment is an exciting place to be, as well as rapidly changing and will continue to grow.

Position: Marketing Manager
Location: Cooke & Mason - Retford, Nottinghamshire (Commutable from Worksop, Gainsborough, Lincoln, Doncaster and surrounding areas)
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week

About the role:

They require a dedicated Marketing Manager for the East Midlands based business with offices in Derby, Retford and Lincoln. You will also work with the company's Central Marketing team on national projects as well as the marketing community across other acquired businesses on a regular basis. While the role will develop over time and provide a wide range of opportunities, there are several immediate priorities.


- Creation and delivery of an annual marketing plan supporting our brands in delivering a quality client service and experience to maximise client retention and acquisition
- May include leadership and people management of up to 5 contact managers / telesales colleagues spread over the 3 offices
- Support the development of Group marketing materials
- Plan and develop integrated marketing campaigns to target specialist sectors
– Gathering and drafting fresh content, as well as sourcing relevant visuals to bring messages to life
- Drafting copy for local press or relevant trade publications
- Act as the initial contact for teams who regularly exhibit at large or small events - understand the objectives, discuss requirements, provide advice, guidance and delivery
- Manage our social media channels
- Work with internal and external digital experts to continually improve and update the websites so that they are relevant, timely and engaging for new or existing clients
- From time to time, opportunities may arise for you to get involved in and help shape their internal communication and employee engagement activities

About you:

- At least 3-4 years experience in a marketing based role with exposure to working across a variety of channels
- Marketing degree
- Confident using a range of marketing tools to develop and support customer contact strategies / campaigns e.g. email marketing tools, Zywave
- Stakeholder Management experience
- Strong writing and proof reading
- ‘Nose for a story’ and ability to generate fresh content and ideas from a variety of sources
- Social media and web savvy
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Comfortable using design software e.g. illustrator to create compelling and professional visuals / images / documents
- Can-do attitude and able to provide flexible solutions or adapt / respond to change requests and ‘get the job done’
- Happy to manage several projects simultaneously
