The Company:

An already successful business described as a potential 'sleeping giant' within their sector. This business, 20 years old, is making changes internally to take the business to the next level. With a new CEO, the leadership team is being formed to be the core of the business to help achieve new goals. This role is a key hire in the business. If you are culturally robust, able to deal with pressure and want to join a business that requires change management and digital transformation then this is for you.

The Role:

This Marketing Manager position is a lead role within the Exhibitions division of this leading media and events organisation. The company are looking for individuals with proven success in running marketing campaigns to drive attendees to Exhibitions. Experience working closely with sales teams to help drive revenue opportunity across sponsors and exhibitors is a necessity. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating the overall marketing strategy and managing a team of three marketers to execute the campaigns. The successful candidate will have an ability to influence stakeholders of all level and help drive a cultural change in the business. Someone with exposure to wide-ranging marketing channels (email, social, advertising, website, collateral, SEO, PPC) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities for the position of Marketing Manager:

  • Owning the marketing strategy and developing the marketing channels being used
  • Working with key stakeholders and champion any changes that are happening internally with marketing, technology and the wider business
  • Leading a team of three marketing professionals - develop, train and manage
  • Managing the marketing budget and forecasting results
  • Coming up with new, innovative ideas to develop the scope of how the marketing team interact and engage with the target audiences
  • Driving visitor attendance, and supporting sales with generating exhibitor and sponsor leads
  • Work with and influence stakeholders to show what marketing can achieve

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Experience of working in a B2B event marketing role
  • Experience of owning the strategy for a portfolio of Exhibitions
  • Commercial and successful marketing achievements come as second nature
  • Strong people management experience
