Who are we looking for?
We are looking to recruit a proactive, enthusiastic and driven individual to manage a variety of Marketing Communications and Events activities. Reporting to the Marketing Director and working closely with a digital specialist, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to join a fast paced and growing business. Taking ownership of their role and growing it into a key aspect of the marketing mix, you will build brand awareness and maintain consistency both internally and externally across a broad customer and stakeholder base. You must be comfortable with being hands-on, managing a team, as well as influencing strategy.
What you will be doing:
  • Developing an integrated communications strategy for the company to increase brand awareness and brand consistency across the business.
  • Managing the team of Graphic Designers and ensuring that work produced is on brand
  • Responsible for the creation of written content individually or through copy writers for brochures and promotional material
  • Liaising with the PR agency in creating press releases for local and national media and assisting in developing relationships with key media to secure and grow media coverage
  • Responsible for developing and implementing the off-line advertising and communications plan to create promotional campaigns for our specifier, trade and consumer markets. These may consist of monthly promotions, sponsorship, print advertising, awards, Point of Sale, merchandise and events
  • Providing communications support to the sales teams and domestic franchise network
  • Organising, coordinating and attending trade exhibitions and corporate events
  • Coordinating CPD seminars and roadshows
  • Collating and analysing current communications and messages and ensuring consistency.
  • Developing and leading the company's internal communication strategy across the UK to internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the annual communications budget and ensuring its use is fully maximised.

Ideal Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years marketing experience specialising in offline channels
  • Previous experience as a communications manager for a similar organisation would be a strong advantage.
  • Highly articulate individual with excellent written communications and presentation skills are essential.
  • Bachelor's degree qualified and ideally CIM member with minimum of Professional Diploma
  • Proactive with a positive 'can do' approach.
  • Passionate about Marketing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and pro-actively as well as working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
