Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire provides a service to 24 million customers a year, with a turnover in excess of £34 million, operating in large urban areas such as Lancaster and Carlisle, as well as the Lake District National Park that has recently been adopted as a World Heritage Site.
Marketing plays a significant role within our business, as there is the challenge of promoting our services to commuters, students, tourists and concessionary pass holders. The company has successfully launched new brands such the Lakes Connection 555 and 599 Lakesider in recent years, but there is still the potential to do far more across our business.
As Marketing Manager, you will be based at the Company's regional head office in Carlisle. The key tasks for the role will be to help generate passenger growth, through clearly communicating messages both internally to staff and externally to passengers and stakeholders. You will be responsible for publicity material, managing digital channels, customer focused campaigns, research projects, PR activity, managing external agencies and effectively liaising with colleagues across the company.
The successful candidate will need previous marketing experience, but not necessarily within a transport environment, have relevant qualifications, in addition to having excellent communication skills, a customer focused approach, high level of IT literacy, creativity, the ability to prepare effective media releases, manage a budget, and have an eye for detail in order to achieve a professional standard in all material produced.
