With responsibility for two direct reports, you will act as a strategic advisor to the senior leadership team on all marketing related activity. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Head of Business Development, Senior Partner and Managing Partner, to develop the firm's brand. You will lead the internal communications programme, working closely with the HR Director and senior leadership team, and manage the firm wide external communications programme, including all print and digital communication campaign planning and execution. The successful candidate will be expected to work in partnership with the Events Manager to drive an integrated marketing culture and to deliver a first class event marketing client experience and will be responsible for managing the firm's relationships with the key directories and to communicate with international sector and practice groups on key milestones and best practice to maximise the quality of the submissions and the outcome for the firm. Media relations and advertising will also fall within the responsibilities of the role holder. Review and management of the firm wide marketing budget, including all external marketing suppliers across design, digital and print, will represent an important facet of the role.
The successful candidate is likely to be an existing Marketing Manager with substantial relevant experience of working in a managerial capacity, leading, motivating and developing a team, in either a legal or professional services environment, to include proven experience of delivering commercial solutions which are engaging, creative and realistic. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral, with an ability to engage at all levels and to build effective, credible and long-lasting relationships, especially at senior level, are essential.
