Marketing Manager - Sports Industry

£50k - £55k per annum plus benefits

I'm very excited to be partnering with a well-recognised name in the football industry operating both locally and internationally.

The Marketing Manager will play a vital role in the growth and success of the company during an exciting stage in their development. They are going through significant investment, resulting in the opening of a number of new pitches and refurbishment of existing sites.

The successful person will be an experienced in-house Senior Marketing Manager, ideally with experience of a multi-site brand, team sports, fitness, leisure or general retail or entertainment would suit the role/company. Experience of working at a strategic level to take the lead on initiatives rather than purely executing is preferred.

About the role:

  • Developing and coordinating integrated marketing plans and campaigns for the company in line with campaign and sales objectives.
  • Overseeing the company marketing budget.
  • Creating and publishing all marketing material in line with brand identity.
  • Acting as a brand custodian and managing the company's corporate identity.
  • Ensuring marketing campaigns are delivered on time, to budget and to the highest standards.
  • Project-managing the marketing campaigns end to end, ensuring delivery against objectives.
  • Monitoring and reporting on marketing communications success and ROI to senior leadership.
  • Working closely with 3rd party agencies to lead new venue launches.
  • Ensuring effective internal communications to ensure consistency and awareness of marketing campaigns across the business.

About you:

  • Detailed experience of working in a marketing campaigns from inception to delivery.
  • Strong technical ability and marketing platform experience.
  • A holder of the CIM or similar marketing qualification.
  • Strong understanding of current marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.
  • Experienced in a local or retail marketing role in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong project management skills and problem solving.
  • The ability to work to deadlines and performance measures/KPIs. Strong technical ability and marketing platform experience.
  • Able to manage stakeholders up and down an organisation and challenge/push back when required.
  • An interest in or understanding of team sports is an advantage.
