DESCRIPTION

This is an 11-month fixed term role

We are looking for a smart, proactive person to help grow our business. As a Marketing Manager, you'll help drive growth and deliver a best-in-class customer experience on Amazon.co.uk, while building great business relationships with some of Amazon's top brands. Video Games in the UK is seeing strong growth and you'll be joining a top tier team that are innovating on behalf of customers every day.

Amazon is a company that is ‘Customer Obsessed’ and your role is to be the champion of the customer experience for UK Video Games. You will work on a diverse range of projects to deliver customer experience and engagement among Video Games shoppers, as well as supporting the wider Video Games team to deliver the best possible experience in all marketing and customer facing activity. You’ll be responsible for managing the customer experience on site, working with vendors to develop and set up key marketing campaigns, work with our customer insights team to identify and implement marketing plans to test key customer behaviours hypotheses. You will also be responsible for driving efficiency; understanding barriers to automation for low-value manual marketing tasks in order to free up time for the team to focus on high impact, customer-led initiatives.

As a Marketing Manager you will:
•Collaborate with Cat Lead & Vendor Management team to develop a customer led marketing plan to drive Amazon high value actions
•Share insights with vendors to ensure vendor plans are customer centric and drive towards high value actions
•Understand barriers to automation, and help build use case and solutions to manual work
•Input Strategic Vendor Services projects encompassing customer insight and marketing engagement objectives
•Own the content slot planner for Video Games to drive a high bar for merchandising and assist with scheduling during key trading periods
•Work on major product launches across all Amazon marketing and merchandising initiative (Amazon Media Group, Franchise teams, cross-category, central marketing, etc.)
•Represent media on marketing RPI groups

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS required
3-5 years relevant work experience in online marketing, site management/merchandising, digital, e-commerce, or product management
Proven project management, planning and prioritisation skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated drive to lead and implement process improvement
Strong Marketing and Commercial Accumen
Knowledge of HTML, XML, and Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA or other Master's degree in marketing or technical discipline
Experience with website content management systems
Outstanding analytical skills incl. advanced Excel
High computer literacy, ideally incl. SQL, with ability to learn new tools and systems quickly
Demonstrated ability to define and successfully deliver complex projects
Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build solutions with proper project management
Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects across category or other departments
