Marketing Strategy and Planning Manager

Hours of Work: 35 hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
We’re looking for a commercially focussed strategic marketing planner, who really knows how to strike the balance between what’s best for our customers and what’s best for the business.
It’s a great opportunity to help shape the future of Skipton Building Society, through the development of insight driven, multi-channel marketing plans, with a focus on ROI.
Developing big picture strategies is one thing. But big ideas only add value if they can be turned into something real. So we’ll be relying on your expertise to develop integrated Marketing plans that are designed with customers in mind, align with our corporate plan and deliver measurable results.
Your role will be to drive forward and manage the holistic planning for Marketing, develop our brand strategy and lead on appropriate MI to facilitate decisions on key marketing investments and options required to deliver against key Commercial plan. You’ll also join the Senior Marketing Strategy and Planning Manager in overseeing the marketing strategy, using your industry knowledge and insight to influence how it evolves.
Some people see the big picture. Others focus on detail. We need someone who can do both. You’ll also need a degree level education and significant experience in creating marketing plans that are underpinned by analysis and insight, as well as brand management experience.
Getting buy-in will be a big part of this role. So you’ll need to know how to deliver a convincing rationale and be prepared to challenge when necessary. You’ll also need some extra special organisational skills and an ability to coordinate multiple teams from across the business.
