Media Planning Manager
12 Month Contract

About the Role:
The Media Planning Manager is a new internal role that has been created to raise the bar on the quality of our media strategies/plans, improving our media ROI. This role is located in the GB business (Hemel Hempstead) and will primarily serve the GB market where the majority of our media spend sits. However, you will also have a role to play in advising the Irish and French businesses.
As Media Manager, you will provide thought leadership and expert internal guidance on media planning principles and align these principles and how they are measured with mSix and Ebiquity. You will also lead our day to day relationship with mSix, our incumbent media agency in GB. Importantly, as a business we have chosen to follow the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute approach to building brands. Your role will be to ensure we reach as many category buyers as possible in the most cost-effective way.
Whilst briefing and executing media plans are owned by the brand teams, you will have a vital consulting role to play in raising the quality of these plans.
-Delivering the commercial business agenda through improving the quality and ROI of our media spend.
-Own monthly reporting to the broader business on media performance, SOV and ROI
Marketing and Brand Leadership
-Own and drive the media agenda providing thought leadership continually driving improved quality of media utilisation.
-Critically review our connections planning process and work with capability team and media partners to stream line and develop best practice examples
Leadership and People Development
-Building media capability through the development and delivery of the right training interventions (Britvic Way of Marketing, coaching).
-Build media understanding within key stakeholder groups (PLC Exec, Business Unit Execs where applicable)
-Developing powerful relationship within the broader marketing function across GB, Ireland, France and our central M&I function.
-Manage and successfully develop relationships with agency partners to deliver ideas that build brand equity and drive performance. Manage a positive tension between mSix and Ebiquity to deliver outstanding results.
-Extensive senior (Planning Director) agency side experience in planning and evaluating multi-channel media strategies across numerous FMCG brads.
-Proven track record in developing powerful relationships at multiple levels of an organogram and across partner organisations.
-Strong coaching skills.
-Evidence of high levels of numeracy.
-Proven ability to manage tension points between agency partners in service of a better outcome for brands.
