New Product Development Manager

6 month contract

£450 - £500 per hour

Central London (some travel to North London)

A rapidly growing challenger bank is seeking a New Product Development Manager to execute on a new flagship savings product.

The successful candidate will coordinate and manage the development of new savings products. The New Product Manager will act as the subject matter expert and lead for all new product development activities related to savings, ensuring actions reflect customer-focus at all times, adhering to time, cost and quality objectives.

About the role:

  • Owning the articulation and documentation of end-to end business requirements and customer stories for products.
  • Collaboration with the IT and Ops teams to ensure delivery, documentation and optimisation of all supporting processes, systems, infrastructure and resources.
  • Close work with risk, compliance and legal team to ensure marketing material, documentation and process compliance.
  • Responsible for delivery of all new product governance requirements.
  • Collaboration with the PMO to ensure the end to end project is delivered to required standards.
  • Analysing and interpreting customer, marketing and competitor intelligence to drive decisions and recommendations.
  • Working alongside the marketing team to develop and deliver the go-to-market strategy for new products.

Essential knowledge and experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in a regulated financial services environment, ideally savings and cash ISAs.
  • Strong, proven stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable customer focus in a product management/development context.
  • Strong understanding of digital capabilities.
  • Up to date knowledge of working in a regulatory environment - ideally including ISA regulations.
  • Experienced in delivering projects under the agile methodology.
  • Hands-on approach, with experience in a fast-paced environment.
