The purpose of this role is to support the Organic Performance Technical Lead in executing the overall technical SEO strategy across MoneySuperMarket Financial Group properties including Moneysupermarket.com and Moneysavingexpert.com.

Key aspects of the role will be to actively monitor and audit the Group’s core website properties, identify opportunities and implement on-site improvements to ensure the business achieves long term excellence in technical SEO and maximizes its success in organic search.

The role will involve developing a strong technical SEO skillset and a clear understanding of the Technical SEO Team’s ways of working, to deliver the required output in-line with annual objectives.

What will you be doing?

Delivering on-going technical audits across Moneysupermarket.com and Moneysavingexpert.com
Analysing results and highlighting opportunities for inclusion on the technical SEO roadmap
Delivering technical SEO improvements through collaboration with other departments
Monitoring the site on an ongoing basis and identifying and implementing optimisation opportunities
Conducting competitor analysis to identify opportunities for technical improvements
Utilising tools such as Google Search Console, DeepCrawl and ScreamingFrog
Producing daily, monthly, quarterly, or ad-hoc, reports and management information
Supporting on projects through testing against technical SEO requirements and best practice guidelines
Supporting the vertical Organic Performance teams with on-page recommendations for better optimisation
Supporting the vertical Organic Performance teams with development of pages
Day-to-day and on-going project management, including regular reviews and 1:1 cycles
Maximizing organic traffic and revenues; working to targets for both.
Follow and advocate company policies and procedures.
Complete any ad hoc reports or duties as required by the business’ needs.
Supporting the Organic Performance Technical Lead in meeting senior stakeholder requirements
Delivery of on-going technical audits
Monitoring of domains and proactively implanting improvements
Delivery of reports to Organic Performance Technical Lead and other internal stakeholders
Representing the team and brand when working with external agencies and other third parties
Delivery of performance against set KPI’s and annual objectives

What skills and experience do you need?

To be successful in this role will require a keen interest in search marketing along with an appetite to continually learn and develop your knowledge and skillset within in a fast-changing industry.

The role is well suited to a self-starter who thrives on taking responsibility and ownership. An inquisitive and curious mind along with a passion for problem solving and striving for best-in-class results are essential qualities for this role.

Effective team-working is crucial, the successful candidate must be able to collaborate well with others and be flexible to tackle the wide range of challenges that face a busy digital team.

One or more years’ experience in a Digital or Search Marketing role (in-house or agency)
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Experience of using tools such as Google Search Console, ScreamingFrog or similar
