Performance and Analytics Manager


Hampshire: Commutable from Eastleigh, Southampton, Romsey, Winchester


A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Performance and Analytics Manager to play a pivotal role in a leading international organisation supporting the Ecommerce Managers and Global Ecommerce Lead in making the right investment decisions and optimising the platform. The key objective of this role is to drive sales performance with data and insight.

Responsibilities of the Performance and Analytics Manager:

  • Defining the strategy, development and delivery of Analytics across all digital platforms (web, mobile web and apps), loyalty platforms, acquisition and retention channels, products and brand marketing.
  • Generation and delivery of all DTC sales and traffic reporting
  • Work with Ecommerce manager, Operations manager, CRM and Global Ecommerce Lead as well as the Conversion and PPC/SEM agencies to highlight sales and optimisation opportunities
  • Build, nurture and grow speciality, delivering true analytical insights and pioneering the use of statistical methods and predictive analytics
  • To initiate, lead, and deliver the Ecommerce Analytics and Optimisation Plan on a yearly basis
  • To provide direction to the local digital and ecommerce teams
  • To report on a regular basis to senior stakeholders
  • Own the Digital Analytics and Optimisation function defining strategy delivering shared platforms and services to all markets
  • Build, nurture and grow speciality, delivering true analytical insights and pioneering the use of statistical methods and predictive analytics

Skills and Experience of the Performance and Analytics Manager:

  • 5+ years in Web Analytics - Adobe Analytics (Omniture) or Google Analytics
  • Digital Analytics and optimisation specialism (5+ years) with good understanding of the use of Statistical methods and concepts such as Regression Analysis, Forecasts etc.
  • Track record of experience embracing innovation and the implementation and/or design of new digital technologies / digital initiatives / digital innovations e.g. Algorithms, apps, platforms etc.
  • Knowledge of Analytics and Optimisation technologies as well as Digital Platforms (E.g. Adobe Analytics, DMP, MVT, digital marketing tech, CRM, sales platforms etc.)
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and ability to think critically
  • Understanding of data architecture in a digital business. Experience with Data Warehousing, design and optimisation of ETL Process, and Data Cubes is a great plus
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript for Web Analytics purposes
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence platforms (e.g. Tableau, Spotfire, Qlik etc.)
