An exciting opportunity has arisen for a bid specialist to join the International Marketing and Business Development team of a Global 50 law firm.
The London Pitch & Pursuit Specialist will be a key member of the team and will frequently work on high-level firm proposals and client-facing pitch opportunities. The Specialist must have the skills to work both independently and collaboratively with all levels of professional staff and lawyers in the London office and other European offices as required, as well as with the finance, pricing and project management and research departments, practice group leaders and office chairs. The position will serve as a clearinghouse for pitch opportunities and requires a high energy level, the ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands, and the flexibility to manage demands outside of traditional office hours. The role holder will be expected to develop an intimate working knowledge of the London office, its practices, clients and industries it serves and will operate as the focal point for proposals, project managing the entire process, including pulling together research and analysis, creating visual presentations for internal and external clients with a particular emphasis on new business pitches and writing initial drafts. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining standard pitch templates and language across practices and managing content relating to European RFPs and pitches in the firm's proposal tracking systems and assessing metrics related to success rate of pitch submissions via a monthly report. In addition the successful candidate will also assist with the maintenance of practice credentials and lawyer experience, developing standard practice descriptions for brochures, website and other social media channels and drafting awards, directory and league table submissions.
You will have demonstrable experience of working in a bids role, with a track record of successfully managing bids end-to-end in a professional services environment, preferably in a law firm. Enthusiastic and proactive, with an excellent service ethic and the ability to operate effectively in a high-performance environment and as part of a busy team, the Pitch & Pursuit Specialist will possess outstanding organisational and communication skills and have developed a strong understanding of bids best practice.
