This is an exceptional bids role in one of the largest law firms in the world. The Pitches & Pursuits Manager will manage effective pitch development and delivery in a global, fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
You will support the cross-practice and multi-jurisdictional business development activities of the global practice through oversight and development of RFP responses, and other complex pitches. This is a position for a committed and dynamic pursuits specialist to work alongside a highly-regarded international marketing and BD team. You will act as an internal consultant pushing through best-practice in all elements of the proposals process from initial instruction to post-analysis. Collaborating with the practice area and industry Marketing and Business Development teams, you will develop and design responses to client proposals and pitches to support the firm's business development requirements. The Pitches & Pursuits Manager will be tasked with researching and reviewing relevant market, industry, competitive and business information for the preparation of successful pitches and will be responsible for ensuring relevant pitch content is appropriately incorporated into all relevant pitches. The role holder will assist in developing, leading, and managing the region's pitch services team, including ensuring the execution of best practices, processes, training, quality assurance and continuous improvement, coaching pitch teams on presentation techniques and handling Q&As and leading regular training on pitch approach. Post-pitch evaluations to obtain feedback and trend analysis will represent an important part of the role.
This is an opportunity that requires a strategic mind and an intellectual outlook, with a strong academic background or equivalent, allied to extensive bids and proposals experience, gained preferably in a global professional services organisation. Legal experience is not a specific requirement so applicants may come from one of the Big 4 or other large accounting or consulting firms. It goes without saying that outstanding influencing skills are essential.
