We are therefore looking to bring on board a Portfolio Lead to manage a portfolio of projects partnering with Finance.

This role plays a key part in determining the overall success of key business objectives to drive value, cost benefit from IT projects or IT components of wider business change projects. The role needs to work across all functions involved in the delivery of the projects ensuring everyone is aligned to objectives of the project and is clear on their part. This role sits in the IT Strategy & Delivery team.

The Portfolio Lead will manage some of these business change projects for IT. You will ensure that all projects under your responsibility are tracking on scope, on time and on budget. Depending on the size of the project, you could be asked to manage several projects at the same time. You will be coached by your peers to follow internal methods and processes in relation with project management and will report to a Business Solution Manager.

IT are looking for people who have the desire to work closely with Finance and other IT functions. You will need to be a good relationship and stakeholder manager seeing benefits to the business in addition to a tracked record of projects you’ve managed personally.

We’re open to candidates coming from a range of sectors or industries – although closely aligned industries such as FMCG, Retail, Pharma, possibly automotive etc would feel like a close fit. You must have delivered SAP projects and have a Project Management qualification such as Prince2.

The role will be based in our Head Office in Hemel Hempstead and will require some travel to Solihull & Ireland.

We’re looking for somebody who has experience managing 3 or more concurrent projects with a significant IT element from start to finish. Line management experience is essential whilst experience with SAP is desirable!
