This is an excellent PR role based in the head office of an international law firm. As part of an established London team you will support the implementation of strategic PR initiatives to build profile with national and specialist media in the firm's target sectors and services.
The PR Adviser must clearly identify and understand the UK PR landscape, its requirements and also the firm's ability to exploit these across various areas. You will identify key target media journalists in national, trade, online and broadcast media and maintain working relationships with these journalists. The role holder must have the ability to apply specific knowledge of sector landscapes to identify opportunities for the firm, and to help develop cross-practice campaign ideas. The successful candidate will support the Head of Communications and the PR Manager to deliver and evaluate a programme of creative, responsive, and news driven PR campaigns, monitoring forward features for opportunities, critically reviewing and editing media proposals, pitching ideas to journalists and working closely with sector and service BD managers to deliver PR plans. In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring daily media coverage and identifying possible issues and opportunities, helping to maintain the UK PR activity planning calendar, ensuring UK PR data and resources are available to the business and driving the firm's campaigns and promotion of its CSR strategy in relation to charities and sponsorship.
With a good academic background, the PR Adviser will need proven PR experience gained either client side in a legal or professional services firm or in an agency with professional services clients. Outstanding communication skills both written and oral are also essential as you will be dealing with the highest levels in the firm.
