One of the largest and most influential international law firms require a PR professional to join its established PR team based in its head office in London. The PR Executive will be responsible for the planning and execution of the firm's external communications strategy for the global International Capital Markets practice.
Working with ICM partners, business development, and the Senior PR Manager the role holder will develop an external communications plan for the global ICM practice which supports the firm's business objectives by enhancing the firm's reputation around key capabilities. You will take primary responsibility for the execution of the strategy, identifying media and content development opportunities, preparing briefing notes, arranging and overseeing interviews, drafting press releases and managing social media. Providing advice to colleagues across the firm's network in 31 countries and working with other communications colleagues on the planning and execution of media relations and content-based campaigns, you will identify and proactively manage potential reputation risks and build relationships with journalists at target media outlets including national news publications, news wires and legal and financial trade press. Another key aspect of the role will be assisting the team in writing submissions for industry awards.
With a good academic background, you will need proven PR or communications experience gained in a legal or professional services firm. Confident, with a mature outlook, you must possess outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, as you will be dealing with the highest levels in the firm.
