We are thrilled to be recruiting a Pricing Analyst within our Personal
Lines Pricing team.

the use of traditional as well as cutting edge, analytic techniques.

This role is being offered on a permanent basis.

What you will be

Based in London or Ipswich, in this role you will
be building and maintaining our market pricing optimisation framework and all
models that are used within it, as well as building the reporting tools
required to communicate the impact of the rate changes.

This means that you will have the chance to assist
in some exciting cutting-edge projects, as well as develop your data science
skills - all whilst working for a number 1 insurance brand.

Your responsibilities will include-

* Regular
rate reviews to support the trading objectives of different accounts for
both Home and Motor Insurance
* Building optimisation
framework, running optimisation scenarios and coming up with optimised
* Building
and refreshing market pricing models used within the optimisation
* Building
automated reports to produce key performance indicators for the
* Supporting
Impact Analysis for rate recommendations and new pricing structures
* Researching
and Monitoring competitor pricing activity
* Understanding
existing pricing models and ensuring their appropriate use and application
* Interacting
effectively and building strong relationships with the Underwriters and
other key customers

As well as a degree in a Mathematics related discipline (or
evidence of equivalent proficiency) you will need a
statistical know-how and insatiable curiosity and drive.

One of
the key determinants of profit and growth for all personal lines accounts is
optimised pricing underpinned by sound analysis and management of risk. In
order to be successful in the role, you will demonstrate strong communication
and influencing skills. You will implement new and innovative techniques while
maintaining the pragmatism to keep delivery on track.

Experienced Candidates:

We are
also considering candidates with up to a years’ experience in a similar role.
This position will allow you to utilise your experience, whilst continuing to
further your career as a Pricing Analyst for a number 1 global insurance brand.


* First-rate mathematical
skills. At least a 2:1 degree in a mathematics related discipline or
evidence of equivalent proficiency
* A desire to learn and
develop appropriate statistical techniques to build pricing models within
an insurance environment
* Ability to work under
pressure and to tight deadlines
* Ability to come up with
innovative ideas and take pragmatic approaches to deliver projects


* Programming skills, SAS,
R/Python and knowledge of Pricing software (ideally the Towers Watson
suite/ Earnix)
* Knowledge of Machine
Learning algorithms
* Up to 1 years’ experience in pricing, or
an analytical focussed role
