Product Manager, Remote (Emails/Newsletters) – Remote/UK

£70k + Flexi/Home working

My client, an award-winning Media Publisher is looking for a Product Manager who has experience managing consumer facing digital products (ideally emails/ newsletters)

The publishing house is aiming to change the way that their 10 million daily online users experience their digital products, and revolutionise the world of online news in the process.

This role can be100% home based or linked to our London offices 1-2 days a week (your choice).

This is a key role where you’ll balance launching new consumer facing features (that are relevant locally, but can scale nationally), working with internal & external stakeholders and driving the product roadmap. You’ll be responsible for understanding our users, setting a compelling product vision, prioritisation, acquiring and retaining users. Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for the success of newsletters as a product.

Key Responsibilities

Uphold policy around diversity and inclusion and work to ensure our values around non-discrimination are upheld in everything we publish.

Working closely with other product managers, developers, designers, external partners, senior leadership and journalists you will help identify opportunities & challenges while guiding the product to success.

Responding to issues flagged by CRM / Editorial (Many tickets submitted to Pure require some attention from me for additional commentary or context on the setup and usage of Pure360. Or simply chasing up Pure for responses).

Newsletter creative testing (Working with Pure to enable us to make use of alternate RSS feed renders. Liaising with Editorial to trial them and analysing the results).

Setting up Ad placements (Working with the commercial team to ensure the smooth implementation of ad placements into newsletters. Involves coordination with data, dev & commercial).

Supporting CRM and Data Teams.

Providing platform knowledge and development resource, seeking to continuously improve the product.

Preference Centre redesign & functional enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience

You need to have experience managing consumer facing digital products (ideally emails/ newsletters) and be able to display an understanding of different user types & use cases.

Experience with large scale email/newsletter products would be ideal. We will consider people with similar transferable skills who have a genuine enthusiasm for the role.

An understanding of the different needs and requirements of users at different life stages e.g. students, pensioners, parents….and what matters to them.

You’ll also need to be a great communicator - we want to see you inspire us by presenting compelling product visions while convincing other stakeholders to get behind you.
