Are you passionate about professional video and stills products and love supporting key customers such as the BBC and SKY TV? As the product manager for the Professional Product Category of imaging and print products you will be the driving force to achieve Canon UK and Ireland’s product strategy and commercial budgets through a wide range of customer channels beit sole trader or corporate.
In collaboration with Sales and Channel Marketing as well Product Management and Sales in Europe, the Pro product manager is responsible for product pricing, positioning and channel distribution through the life of the product from launch to EOL monitoring both the market trends and internal forecasting. This includes managing the relevant marketing investment and tender pricing required to achieve the commercial goals of the business.
As category champion with both operational and strategic goals you will be responsible for ensuring an holistic approach to our Pro Portfolio of products and solutions ensuring we create the right product propositions for the right people at the right time, This role is an integral interface between sales and marketing and straddles both consumer and business customers and markets.

In liaison with the Product Intelligence team you will need to produce sales support materials and training for product launch, ranging and sell through meetings. Drawing on the different customer segments and aligning audiences to products and solutions as well as
Providing technical assistance with product positioning for budget and planning purposes.
In addition to this you will be relied upon to provide technical marketing support for all pre-launch activity ( Press, customers and internal; proofreading and approval of product content of all central and local deliverable and the tracking and administering of pre-launch samples.
A key part of the role in collaboration with colleagues in our European Head Office to understand and negotiate business opportunities and secure investment,

Experience in Project Management in a technical environment ideal as well as excellent photographic knowledge and ideally some experience of video products. Totally proficient in the use of PC's.
Totally proficient in the use of software application packages, including email, spreadsheets (project planning), word processing, digital imaging and presentation software.
Excellent communicator, presenter, numerate and flexible.
Capable of continuously assimilating technical marketing and sales information through self-study to aid analysis and problem solving
