Product Technical Knowledge Manager – Competitive Salary + Benefits – Brighton, UK

The Role

We currently have a new opportunity for an experienced Product Technical Knowledge Manager to join us at our offices in Brighton. This role is accountable for the product regulatory and compliance knowledge within our systems, supporting our clients and internal teams. It is a pivotal role within Track Record Global, key to the success of our services.

This is a full-time role, but we can offer flexibility for the right candidate and will be pleased to consider applications from part-time or freelance applicants. We also offer a competitive salary, 30 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays) and a pension scheme. We take staff development seriously, and this role can grow with you and develop into a senior position within the company.

The key responsibilities of a Product Technical Knowledge Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing leadership within company on regulatory product compliance requirements
  • Building and maintaining internal product compliance libraries
  • Monitoring and providing updates on regulation and standard changes
  • Linking with clients to develop clear guidelines for compliance document management and assessment
  • Providing guidance and training to internal assessment teams
  • Developing guidance notes and support
  • Managing relationships with clients, suppliers and internal colleagues

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Product Technical Knowledge Manager:

  • Significant experience as product technologist/technical manager in a range of consumer goods
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for general merchandise (homewares, electricals, toys, etc) for UK and EU markets; similar knowledge of the construction sector would also be helpful, but is not essential
  • Good communication skills for liaison with clients and the cultural awareness to deal with a wide range of international suppliers
  • Analytical, well organised and with strong attention to detail, able to remain calm under pressure and manage projects in a systematic way, and
  • A good working knowledge of Excel would be helpful, but we can provide training or give you support in this if required
