We are recruiting a Professional Education Coordinator to be based at our Leeds ONE campus.

Role Purpose:

You will support the implementation and delivery of education events at national level (in conjunction with our various training facilities) to extend the clinical knowledge and surgical skills of health care professionals. You will also support the Professional Education function with administration & logistic support to deliver their annual course calendar in line with the Business Plan. You will act as a project manager, tracker and report provider and highlight performance exceptions of customers attending Professional Education events through the online course booking system (Phoenix).

Key areas of responsibility:

Course Booking System

Ownership of the ongoing operational effectiveness and future development of the Global Course Booking System (Phoenix)

Maintenance of the Phoenix database in association with Professional Education Manager

Responsible for inputting course data and to supply any business related metrics e.g. delegate numbers, budgets, expenses

Event Management

Monitoring selected events and ensuring these are on track, on budget and on time

Reporting of KPI’s/SLA’s and other metrics that demonstrate effectiveness of educational offerings e.g. net promoter scores/confidence to adopt

Management of the expense process (GXRS) related to selected events

Responsible for HCC processes in related to selected Professional Education events


Effective and coordinated communications to key stakeholders (internal and external) in association with Professional Education Managers

External Customers

To support the Professional Education Department in building and maintaining effective working relationships with key HCP’s, Societies and Colleges

Travel Requirements

Although this position is an office-based role, some occasional travel will be required within the UK, Ireland, and continental Europe.


Deliver compliance to HCC and CREDO requirements in dealing with HCP’s and Institutions

Key Relationships

Group Professional Education Manager for support and guidance, career development and performance management

Health Care Compliance staff for direction and counsel

Professional Education Managers to work closely with to deliver associated Speciality & Product course calendars

Business Unit Leaders, Marketing Staff, Market Access and Commercial to remain connected to the business and create linkage for project outcomes.

ESI and external training centers: needs and capacity planning, assurance of quality standards, arrangement of actual education events

Sales staff: interact with sales team to adhere to pre-set course booking guidelines

Key Compliance Requirements:

Maintain thorough familiarity with your detailed personal Health & Safety responsibilities as described in the Company’s Health & Safety policy

Adherence to Quality & Regulatory Compliance Policies

Adherence to Healthcare Compliance Policies

Adherence to all Company policies and necessary training and development requirements within required time frames

Ensure compliance to the Company’s product complaint process

Willingness to travel, and attend meetings as required


Education & Experience required:

Medical Device Industry Knowledge

Knowledge of J&J products, procedures & NHS

Microsoft Office Experience

Excellent PC skills and a working knowledge of Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet and Outlook
