Project Manager - Direct Marketing

The award winning Dennis Direct Marketing team are responsible for marketing across subscription acquisition, retention and customer engagement across all Dennis titles, both print and digital. Your role will work closely with the team, with other internal Dennis stakeholder teams across digital and reporting, and with key suppliers, primarily ABS our subscriptions bureau and Selligent our marketing automation tool.

You will be responsible for managing, monitoring and keeping the various development and project queues running within the Direct Marketing team. Working with the department’s Senior Leadership Team and key stakeholders in the different projects, this will be a varied role, from monitoring existing processes and priorities to managing other projects on an end-to-end basis.

Where appropriate you’ll be responsible for managing priorities from kick-off meetings to final delivery, planning, defining priorities, communicating and troubleshooting at all stages of the project, reporting to the SLT in order to ensure a structured, coordinated approach.

Key areas will include: development queues for digital work (both internal and external), report development queues, ABS and Selligent development projects and day to day prioritisation, internal team projects (such as reforecast work, joint campaigns, and cross department projects) and involvement in our major marketing technology development. You’ll be working with a passionate team of marketers to make sure the team is able to implement new ideas and keep projects moving in a very busy environment.

Key responsibilities

* Building and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.

* Project management through the project lifecycle.

* Defining project scope, gathering requirements, agreeing/managing cost in collaboration with SLT, ensuring deadlines are met.

* Leading regular catchup calls and defining most effective communication formats for each different project queue.

* Providing actions and minutes for key project meetings and ensuring delivery.

* Working with key stakeholders to deliver evaluation and QA of all work to ensure quality.

* Creating and maintaining quick concise status update reports for all involved.

* Foreseeing and flagging any issues that may affect delivery, effectiveness or impact of projects.

* You will be capable of winning the respect and trust of internal and external teams, allowing you to chase and deliver effectively

* Excellent understanding of the life-cycle of a project including communication strategy, creative and technical.

* Acute eye for detail.

* Knowledge and experience of different methodologies (waterfall and agile)

* Able to communicate a concept or idea clearly and succinctly.

* A team player with the ability to work under own initiative and under pressure.

* Able to work quickly and accurately in an environment of changing priorities.

* Flexible, adaptable and diplomatic.

* Professional attitude to work with excellent communication skills.
