A fantastic opportunity exists for a Proposals Manager to join the well-established and highly-regarded global pitch team of a major international law firm.
The candidate will bring their experience, professional skill, energy, ideas and creativity to the firm's proposals process. You will be responsible for delivering best-in-class pitches, providing expert advice from start to finish and managing and advising on the entire pitch process, from go/no-go, proposal development, rehearsal coaching and presentations through to post-pitch debrief. The role holder must ensure all pitches are persuasive and differentiate the firm from the competition. The Proposals Manager will work with the Global Head of Pitching to ensure the firm is delivering against the pitching needs of the business and there is continuous improvement in the firm's approach to pitching by conducting post-pitch feedback reviews with clients and internal debriefs with proposal teams, to help drive behaviour change and improvements to pitches, competitive positioning and ultimately win rate. You will be expected to proactively share knowledge and best practices on pitching across the firm's global pitch teams and more widely across the business, contribute to the coaching, training and development of all key stakeholders in the proposal process to improve their performance and win-rate and contribute to the development and maintenance of key proposal tools. The successful candidate will line manage the Executives in the team, coaching, sharing knowledge and leveraging the Executive's skills effectively on pitches.
To prosper in this excellent role you will need to be a commercially aware bid specialist with outstanding writing, editing and influencing skills and have a proven ability and experience of leading, motivating and developing a team. The firm are looking for a bid specialist who will act as a change consultant, who can pull together more complex bids and compile information at the same time, who are experienced in the implementation of new systems and templates and are able to manage change very well. It is essential that the Proposals Manager comes from an international professional services background that requires buy-in and engagement of senior management or partners, as well as working across cultures successfully, and possesses strong project, account and stakeholder management and a proven track record of winning new business.
