An exciting opportunity has arisen to team join our market leading Workplace Savings Proposition Management team as a Proposition Development Manager, reporting to the Head of Propositions.

You will own the design and delivery of large scale proposition developments. This role will work across Marketing, Distribution, Operations and IT and Change to drive the end-to-end delivery ensuing that our proposition remains best in market.

Key Measures

* Improve the attractiveness of new business propositions / market share
* Develop & maintain commerciality of propositions over its lifetime / retention
* Produce coherent pensions strategy plan and engage key partners
* Quality and timeliness of technical advice and support / customer satisfaction
* Team Management; ensure all members of staff have up to date role profiles, objectives, development plans and provide regular feedback

Key Accountabilities

* Define the detail of the proposition delivery, utilise the necessary market and customer insight to fully inform the proposition allowing a clear mapping to Customer needs & Competitor positioning to identify differentiation
* Deliver the necessary product and proposition specifications to ensure absolute clarity on what will be delivered
* Ensure that the relevant proposition governance processes (e.g. CLP) are met
* Review and monitor TCF, MI and plans to ensure focus and outcomes are consistent with Aviva and FCA expectations
* Liaise with several business areas (IT & Change, operations, distribution) to form a project team, driving clarity on delivery structure and accountability
* Be accountable for the end to end outcome, driving the relevant business areas to ensure delivery dates and quality expectations are met
* Work closely with the central marketing function to build targeted market campaigns to generate new business leads and maintain existing business
* Drive and improve efficiency and retention seeking opportunities to develop profitability and customer experience
* Develop, demonstrate and maintain thorough knowledge of the pensions proposition including customer needs, segmentation, service model, costs, revenue and value
* Work with proposition management colleagues to deliver proposition expertise internally (e.g. to support proposition development, implementation and marketing activity) and externally (e.g. to existing and potential business partners) to improve the view of Aviva’s market presence
* Develop strong, constructive and sustainable working relationships with internal and external subject matter experts, partners and suppliers to optimise proposition design, development and maintenance and to support buy-in from all key partners

Skills & Experience

* A deep understanding of the UK pensions market and long-term savings (e.g. Annuities and wider savings)
* Track record of development of successful product propositions
* Ability to spot new digital/technological trends
* Excellent knowledge of the drivers of profitability and courses of action to improve profitability
* Business insight & acumen
* Understanding of the 6 FCA Treating Customers Fairly Outcomes
* Evidence of excellent partner management skills and ability to work across teams

Qualifications:

* Degree level or equivalent
* Business qualification preferable
* RO1 Financial services, regulation and ethics / RO4 Pensions and retirement planning
* Project management qualification

* Salary of up to/between £45,000 - £70,000
