Based in one of the leading national law firms, this is a great opportunity for a strong bids specialist to work closely with the Head of Pursuits to embed, manage and constantly improve a model for pursuits that maximises the firm's return on time and cost investments. The role holder will be based in either the firm's London or Sheffield office.
Operating as a respected and proactive internal consultant, the Pursuits Advisor will handle strategic tenders, develop information resources, identify best practice in tenders and support the firm's objective of maintaining and increasing its overall tender win rate. The role will involve proactive targeting as well as responding to incoming invitations and the successful applicant will project manage tenders simultaneously, including facilitating and leading meetings, agreeing strategy and messaging, drafting and reviewing content from a sales perspective and coaching pitch teams on winning presentations. The role holder will take responsibility for advising partners and their teams on tailoring winning strategies, overseeing production of high quality, compelling documents and presentations and coaching lawyers to convert opportunities. Monitoring, analysing and communicating pursuit outcomes to the partnership and proactively conducting debrief interviews in order to turn feedback into action plans and continuously improve performance will represent an important element of the role. It is important that you are seen as a point of knowledge in the team as you will assist the Head of Pursuits in the development of more junior team members, including line managing, coaching and developing a Pursuits Executive.
To fulfil the requirements of the role, you will need to be very bright intellectually with proven experience of leading, advising on and winning pursuits and pitches, including advising on tender presentations, ideally within a law firm. It is also essential that the Pursuits Advisor is highly organised with high attention to detail and possesses strong project management and planning skills. A good understanding of the insurance industry would be highly advantageous.
