Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer, who works well as part of a team and shows they have the drive and enthusiasm to build a career in Engineering here at AXA.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with good analytical skills and a technical aptitude which can be used to test solutions, to ensure that the financial and MI data produced is both timely and reliable, for the business to use in reporting and decision-making.

What you will be doing

Create and manage the QA planning activities, including reviewing business requirements and production of test documents

*
Create detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases

*
Ensure that data delivered by the relevant systems is quality assured, accurate, timely and has a high level of data integrity

*
Provide accurate Test estimations throughout the SDLC

*
Provide clear root cause analysis on defects

*
Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and promote actions for improvement

*
Identify and escalate risks

*
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

Previous experience in a testing role

*
ISTQB Testing Foundation certificate

*
Basic working knowledge of database technologies and structures e.g. Oracle SQL Server

*
Strong analysis skills and high attention to detail

*
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

*
An understanding of test tools and effective techniques for their use

*
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

*
Good planning and organisation skills

*
Good knowledge of a wide range of office software.
