Description

You will produce, maintain and improve the management information packs of Commercial Business Finance and support wider Finance Business Partner activity in Commercial, particularly CLI, including face-to-face engagement with key customers and analysis of performance.

Key accountabilities include;

1.

Ensure regular management information packs are produced accurately and on time, including core Business Review MI for Managing Director(s)

2.
Actively participate in and support month end processes

3.

Develop reporting and support Finance Business Partnering to enhance analysis used to interpret business performance and variances, in order to recommend actions

4.

Review portfolio of reporting to prevent duplication and ensure all output remains valuable and relevant to the Business

5.
Improve reporting processes to increase efficiency including automation

6.

Develop and maintain controls to ensure that reporting processes are robust and reliable, taking corrective action to prevent and resolve issues

7.

Maintain and develop relationship with stakeholders on which output has dependency, e.g. CLI Business Management, Data Services

8.

Evaluate requests for reporting changes and liaise with the end customer through prioritisation to completion

9.

Support engagement with key customers across CLI, including the branches to develop an understanding of their requirements, issues and opportunities

10.

Seek to improve efficiency and capability through development of process, tools and knowledge.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for;

Expert user of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, charts, automation

*
Knowledge of Excel add-on Power Pivot desirable

*

Ability to learn the use of different systems and tools quickly

*

Experience of producing management information, reporting packs, business insight and analysis

*

Good understanding of the financial dynamics of general insurance

*

Professional accountant qualified/part-qualified would be advantageous but not essential

*

Confidence when dealing with senior stakeholders
