Researcher & Copywriter

Salary: £17000 - £20000 p.a. (Depending on experience)
Our client is a nationally based provider of electrical certification and training. Due to company growth and acquisition of competitors, they are currently looking for a Researcher & Copywriter to join the team in their Head Office located in Mansfield.
Main Purpose of the Role
Assist in the development and maintenance of the public affairs and relations programme in line with the core objectives in order for the company to gain maximum exposure within political circles and create new opportunities for further development. Assist in the effective marketing of the Company, to Trade and Consumers, through Press Releases, Social Media, E-Bulletins, etc.
Pro-actively maintain the Company's presence including, but not limited to;
Forums : internal.
Direct Mail : Ministerial letters.
Events : invitation letters, coordination of tasks.
Meetings : Coordinate, attend and assist with preparations.
Pro-actively assist with the planning of content as required.
Social Media and blog posts.
PR : draft and release appropriate press releases.
Research : conduct research as and when requested.
Surveys : collate and analyse data results.
Produce briefing notes.
E-News Bulletins to members
Assist, as required, the Public Affairs and Marketing team with the production editorial, blog posts and press releases.
Draft content as and when required by the Public Affairs Manager, Marketing Manager and Directors.
Draft direct mail and ministerial letters as and when requested using correct company terminology and branding.
Create E-bulletins using Email Marketing Software
Assist in the coordination of PA events including preparations and marketing materials.
Work as part of the Public Affairs and Marketing team in a flexible manner, within reasonable time constraints as directed by managers.
Ensure through the proactive use of research techniques timely and relevant information is passed to the Public Affairs Manager to enable them to respond to current or future issues that impact on the Company.
Collate and analyse data results and provide reports including, but not limited to, surveys.
Monitor and respond to forum messages with appropriate responses using own initiative.
Ensure that the material contained on relevant websites and social media platforms is kept up to date and reflects both current and future necessary information.
Ability to make decisions and prioritise workload in order to determine which may have a significant impact.
Attend internal and external meetings on behalf of the Head of External Affairs or Directors when requested which includes travel commitments outside normal working hours.

Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
Maintain professional internal and external relationships.
Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships.
Reports directly to the Head of External Affairs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically: Word, Outlook and Excel
Experience using Email Marketing Software, e.g. Dotmailer, Wordpress etc.
Eye for detail/experience of proofreading
Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills;
Drive, competence, flexibility and a willingness to learn;
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask;
Creativity, imagination and initiative;
Good teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Degree level qualification or similar.
The role is a full time permanent position.
