Sales and Marketing Administrator

TCM is a well-established management consultancy with a client list including Tesco, Aviva, Network Rail, Virgin Atlantic, Google, Royal Mail, HSBC, BT, Marks and Spencer along with numerous universities, hospitals, police forces, and Whitehall departments. We have 6 full-time employees plus a growing team of associates working across the UK.

We are seeking an experienced, accomplished, ambitious and methodical administrator to help us to take our business to the next level. TCM specialises in providing human resources and leadership consultancy and training. Our focus is on improving the way that organisations handle conflict, change and crisis. The beating heart of the TCM Group is mediation but we are a lot more than just a mediation company.

Our strategic objective is to secure substantial revenue growth over the next three years with the potential for extending the business overseas. The Sales and Marketing Administrator will be responsible for supporting all aspects of TCM’s sales and marketing activities. 

About the role

  • The Sales and Marketing Administrator will be part of the Business Support Team at TCM. The successful candidate will support general office administration with a specific focus on supporting the sales and marketing functions.  The role is managed by TCM’s Commercial Manager, Lisajay Baker.
  • The Sales and Marketing Administrator will Support TCM’s CEO to deliver his strategic objectives for TCM.
  • Deliver the highest standards of sales and marketing administration and co-ordination.
  • Handle inbound enquiries and prepare proposals and provide relevant information to prospects for TCM’s core products.
  • Allocate leads and enquiries to the internal team to respond to more complex or bespoke services or products.
  • Ensure that all leads and enquires are maintained efficiently and followed up regularly using The Microsoft Office Suite plus our cloud-based CRM system – SalesForce.com.
  • Produce sales and marketing reports on a weekly and monthly basis. The main report is the pipeline report which shows the status of all bids, leads and enquiries.
  • Administer and co-ordinate business development events e.g. workshops, roadshows, masterclasses and webinars.
  • Identify relevant tenders from the range of tender notification portals and support/co-ordinate tender production including liaison with the bid writer.
  • Provide a day to day point of contact for TCM’s marketing agency and support marketing and PR campaigns.
  • Communicate internally to brief colleagues on opportunities and pipeline status.
  • Support business development through active lead nurturing and developing prospect relationships.
  • Manage the new online TCM shop.
  • Maintain the TCM website as may be required on a day to day basis (Word Press).
  • Work collaboratively with others to support our full range of business development activities e.g. customer events, workshops, courses, conferences etc,

  • Good understanding of the marketing mix with particular reference to digital marketing.
  • Previous experience in a sales or business development environment, within a B2B agency is desirable.
  • Experience of working with a CRM system particularly Salesforce.com to manage prospect contact and pipeline is also desirable.
  • Experience of working with Word Press.

The successful candidate will work in a modern, open plan office alongside other team members - there is an expectation of building strong and beneficial relationships with colleagues. A lot of work will be computer-based. 

Given the nature of client contact and the probable need to travel on occasion, the successful applicant will be expected to be comfortable with using remote working applications on a seamless basis, with the office-based solutions across all media, including social media. 

Given the nature of sales, there will be an expectation of work to completion on any given day, where the sales process demands it. This may mean late working on occasion. 

The successful candidate will be expected to balance their own workload, keeping the management team informed and up to date on the load they are carrying on a regular basis. It will be expected that they will be responsible for completing regular KPI’s that tell us how the administration role is progressing. 

There will be several fixed delivery points each month, but in particular, updating and maintaining the prospect lists and sales reporting will be imperative. There will also be periodic project updates expected and with class A prospects there will be an expectation of prioritisation so that the deals are driven through to completion along with the lead salesperson. 

The successful individual will be the sort of person who can self-organise, multitask and understand the role to such a degree that they can prioritise activity to ensure that opportunity is not lost by inaction or inattention to due process. 

The Package:

The salary for this position is £20,000 per annum plus generous holidays, pension and profit share bonus scheme.
