The role of Senior Account Executive:

The Senior Account Executive will be working with two of the business' key retail partners to create and execute tailored marketing and promotional plans. This role will be reporting directly to the Sales and Marketing Director and is a crucial hire as the business continues its growth. This position will be focused on developing their retail trading relationships and owning the category management for key product lines.

On a day to day basis the Senior Account Executive will be expected to create joint business plans with the key retailers, monitor key sales days, analyse promotional period opportunities, pitch new product development presentations and present monthly reports to key internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have worked in an FMCG Key Account or category management job previously, will have a good mix of being highly analytical with a natural flair for numbers, and an outgoing personality. If someone ticks all these boxes, you will be hard to ignore!

Responsibilities for the position of Senior Account Executive include:

  • Forging strong relationships with retailer commercial and procurement teams
  • Creating retailer joint business plans
  • Monitoring retail sales data and analysing key promotional periods
  • Creating new opportunities, in line with client objectives, to grow revenue and increase market share
  • Delivering key analysis and insight reports to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Being the go-to contact for all the clients' needs and understanding their requirements

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Proven experience as an Account Executive/ Category Manager/ Buyer
  • Proven experience in the basic principles of category management
  • Highly analytical skills that include use of the entire MS office suite
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Enthusiasm in abundance

They have an enviable reputation for successfully introducing niche brands and products to the market. Due to continued success and growth the need has arisen for a new Senior Account Executive to join their team. The company is highly successful and profitable but with a relaxed and collaborative environment.

The Package for Senior Account Executive:

  • Salary: £32,000-35,000
  • 25 days holiday + 1 for Birthday (3 to be kept for Christmas closedown)
  • Great benefits
