A leading legal firm is looking for a Senior BD Executive to work closely with the Corporate & Commercial team to deliver incisive and value-added marketing and business development initiatives in line with business plan objectives.
You will be a key source of knowledge within the Marketing & BD team about the work of the Corporate & Commercial team and will need to develop good knowledge of the type of legal advice and services offered by the practice group. You will also need to be very familiar with the Corporate & Commercial BD plan and related budget and will play a proactive role in developing and supporting business development initiatives, ensuring effective coordination with sector and office representatives The role holder will lead on bids, pitches and capability statements, working with the central bids team and sector leads where appropriate and client development will represent an important element of the role including working with the client programme teams to help implement client development strategy for strategic and priority clients and assisting with client development initiatives within the group. On the marketing side, you will manage and deliver all London Corporate & Commercial events, identifying and implementing best practice, reviewing and improving processes and systems used for events and must look for ways to increase return on investment. The successful applicant will prepare and finalise all directory and award submissions, work with PR, digital and events leads to effectively action opportunities to raise the firm's profile in the areas of law covered by the Corporate & Commercial group, including the development and maintenance of creative content and collateral, and will also support the development of thought leadership campaigns and assist the delivery of each campaign.
You will have marketing or BD experience in a professional services firm or relevant sector, preferably combined with a university degree in business, marketing or a related area and a professional marketing qualification. The Senior BD Executive will have strong experience in the end to end management of the pitch process and a demonstrable ability to provide effective challenge to fee earners. Familiarity with CRM systems, document management systems, intranets, websites and experience in social media, PR and online services would be an advantage.
