Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this firm is looking for a Senior BD Executive (Sectors) to be responsible for working with several of the firm's key sector groups to develop and deliver their BD strategy in line with firm-wide objectives. You will be seen as a key member of the team, proactively contributing, championing and instilling BD best practice in the firm.

This role sits within the marketing and business development department (BDM). The role holder's primary stakeholders are the partners and fee-earners within the relevant sector groups - namely, Healthcare; Advertising, Technology and Media (ATM); Financial Services; Consumer Markets; and, Charities. A key part of the role is promoting the sector offering to other parts of the business and within BDM. You will also build wider stakeholder engagement and ensure adherence to BDM best practice. The role holder will liaise with external parties such as suppliers, clients and referrers.

Your main duties will include:
* Strategy and planning
* Targeting & prospecting
* Pitches, proposals and tender submissions
* Client relationship management and key client and referrer activities
* Profile raising
* Management of information, projects and budgets
* General support other members of the BDM team to develop and deliver firm-wide marketing and BD initiatives as needed

You will have experience within a professional services environment, ideally legal. You will have a minimum of 4 years within a marketing role with operational responsibility for business development activities with experience of business development, specifically key account management, sales pipelines and bids and multi-channel campaign management and good experience of using a variety of IT packages (mainly MS Office), databases and new technology solutions. You'll be accustomed to dealing with external clients, referrers, suppliers, senior internal colleagues and support staff at all levels and also accustomed to working without close supervision but maintaining a regular information flow particularly with team members and all internal clients.

You will have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, a proven ability and credibility to challenge, influence and advise people at all levels, and have effective time and resource management skills along with good project management skills. You will have a good attention to detail, experience in research and analysis, be flexible, energetic, self-motivated, organised and accustomed to meeting tight deadlines and be a team player - accustomed to operating within a team environment, taking responsibility for own work and that of others. London or Kent based, and open to flexible working.
