This role represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented business development professional to join a leading international law firm in a Senior BD Manager role focused primarily on supporting the BD efforts of the firm's London Banking practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to take a lead role in the management of a commercial practice group. The role holder will provide strategic business development advice, practical marketing support and financial and operational support for London Banking and all Corporate Lending fee earners in London. You will also work with the global practice group and BD team, including working with the lead partners on their client development plans, leading pitches and contributing product and market insight into cross-practice and cross-border pitches, coordinating practical marketing support for profile raising activities, such as speaking at industry conferences, appropriate events and hospitality and managing the process of experience collection, credentials and CVs. In addition, the role supports the London Islamic Finance practice, the London Banking Emerging Markets practice, the Fund Financing Group, the small Margin Lending team and is responsible for team management for a group of Banking BD personnel. Importantly, the successful applicant will also be expected to fully support and drive change within the BD team around continuous improvement to the value of the firm's BD service platform, role clarity and focus.
Pre-requisites for this role include a good degree or equivalent and preferably post-graduate qualifications. Substantial relevant and proven marketing experience within a professional services organisation or in the sector, where you frequently worked with senior management, is essential. Self-directed and entrepreneurial with a sense of personal ownership, the Senior BD Manager will also be a commercial individual, driven to work in a high-performance business development team at a global law firm where commercial insight, developing strong personal relationships and achieving tangible results are valued and recognised.
