A leading law firm in the city of London is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Senior Manager to join their global Business Development team based in London
This is a market, client and partner facing role and the role holder will be responsible for developing and executing high quality business development initiatives for the firm's Bank Industry and priority bank clients across EMEA and US. The Senior Business Development Manager will enjoy a broad role with responsibilities cross the entire BD and marketing mix, including CRM, industry strategy, pursuits and pitch proposals, events and significant ad-hoc projects, including client targeting and practice growth initiatives. The successful candidate will also will have line management responsibility for two Client Relationship Managers and two BD Executives.
The ideal candidate will hold a good university degree or equivalent qualification and must have significant front line business development experience in a law firm or professional services environment. The Senior Business Development Manager will also need experience of managing budgets and large panel pitches and significant tenders, meeting with external clients and attending client relationship meetings and a proven track record in managing the delivery of commercial thought leadership pieces from either an industry or product perspective. Good people management skills, particularly experience in engaging with partners and senior management as well as developing and nurturing junior team members is necessary, as is the ability to juggle a busy and varied workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
