This role represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented business development professional to join a leading international law firm in a Senior BD Manager role focused primarily on supporting the BD efforts of the firm's Corporate M&A practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced business development professional to take a lead role in the management of one of the firm's major practice groups in the London office. The role holder will have specific responsibility for driving forward BD activity for the firm's London Corporate M&A practice to support the achievement of a position of market leadership and recognition as a leading Corporate practice. The Senior BD Manager's responsibilities will include working with partners on their client development plans and objectives and for overseeing their execution; leading pitches for the London Corporate group and contributing product and market insight into cross-practice and cross-border pitches, to continue to win profitable work from both existing and new clients; and supporting the PR and communications plan to build the firm's profile as a standout practice for complex cross-border, high-value transactions in public and private M&A across multiple sectors. The successful applicant will manage a number of London Corporate BD team members and, as a senior member of the BD team, it will be critical that you manage team members effectively, bringing out the best in individuals, giving feedback, acting as a sounding board and encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration across the Corporate BD team both in London and internationally.
Pre-requisites for this role include a good degree or equivalentand preferably post-graduate qualifications. Substantial relevant and proven marketing experience within a professional services organisation or in the sector, where you frequently worked with senior management, is essential. Self-directed and entrepreneurial with a sense of personal ownership, the Senior BD Manager will also be a commercial individual, driven to work in a high-performance business development team at a global law firm where commercial insight, developing strong personal relationships and achieving tangible results are valued and recognised.
