An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join an international law firm support and drive the further development of the firm's Dispute Resolution Practice.
The firm are recruiting for a Senior Business Development Manager, to join the Practice Stream Business Development team, working within the Dispute Resolution Group while forming part of the wider Business Services function and based at the firm's Head Office in London. Led by 12 partners, the Dispute Resolution group has an outstanding international reputation and acts for a broad spectrum of clients, including corporates, sovereign governments, financial institutions and international organisations. The work of the team includes court and tribunal litigation, international arbitration and global regulatory and internal investigations. The Practice Stream BD team is part of the Business Development Department and the wider Business Services function and its purpose is to work closely with individuals and teams in their departments to drive and shape the streams' business development plans. You will manage a BD Executive and will enjoy a broad role. The role holder will work with partners, associates, Professional Support Lawyers, the Knowledge & Insight team and the wider Business Development team to help drive client targeting and cross-selling initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the partners and other team members, to drive and implement the business development strategy, provide focus to new client acquisition initiatives, including the identification of appropriate targets, and assist partners in determining how best to respond to any given opportunity, liaising where appropriate with the central pitch team and providing strategic assistance to them as required. The role will also incorporate broader marketing, communications and events responsibilities.
With an excellent academic record and extensive business development experience, gained in a law firm or in professional services, the ideal candidate will be a pro-active, analytical and numerate team player, with a high attention to detail and strong communication, influencing and people skills. It is essential that you thrive working under pressure and are able to demonstrate a previous track record of prioritising and delivering complex and multiple projects to tight deadlines and possess a strong ability to analyse and interpret data. Previous experience gained in a Dispute Resolution setting is also highly desirable.
